Wirral

The Wirral peninsula is a unique place. Nestling between the Liverpool and North Wales shorelines, it is surrounded by water on three sides. It has rivers above and below it - the famous Mersey to the northeast and the Dee to the southwest. The northwest coast faces Liverpool Bay and the Irish Sea.

From a photographer's perspective, it provides plenty of opportunities. Located at 53 degrees latitude, it is blessed with a relatively mild but changeable climate, with the prevailing westerly winds bringing with them wonderful skies and the chance of beautiful sunsets.
